I’m Carrie, the creator behind Faery Girl Finds. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from Southern Connecticut State University, and throughout my life, I’ve always been drawn to writing, art, fashion, and wellness.

Perhaps my love for faeries began when I worked alongside my dad as a little faery princess at the Renaissance Festival, or maybe it started when my best friend Erica first introduced me to the enchanting world of faeries and folklore. Either way, there has always been a little bit of magic woven into the way I see the world.

Life has handed me my share of heartbreak, and more than once I’ve had to find the strength to get back up after difficult seasons and unimaginable loss. Through every challenge, I’ve continued searching for beauty, purpose, and light, and Faery Girl Finds was born from that journey.

One of the greatest inspirations behind this space is my daughter, Laura Fae, who was named in honor of my beloved sister Laura, who tragically lost her life at just 18 years old. I gave my daughter the middle name Fae because of my lifelong love for faeries and the magic they represent. My sweet Laura Fae was a little faerie in every sense of the word—a beautiful light who blessed this world for six precious years before graduating to heaven and earning her angel wings. Her spirit lives in everything I create here: in the beauty, the whimsy, the resilience, and the belief that even after loss, there can still be magic.

In addition to my creative work, I’ve spent the past 15 years as a fitness instructor at the hospital, teaching a wide variety of classes designed to inspire, encourage, and help my clients have fun while building healthier lifestyles. Helping others feel stronger, more confident, and more joyful in their wellness journeys has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Here at Faery Girl Finds, I share the things I love most. Affordable fashion, thrifted treasures, wellness inspiration, creative projects, personal reflections, and little ways to make everyday life feel more magical.

I hope to inspire other women to keep creating, keep dreaming, and keep finding beauty in life, no matter what challenges come their way.
